tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California on February 27th 1977. He was born in southern California. He attended Huntington Beach High School and was a top basketball and football player. Gonzalez continued to excel in these sports at University of California, Berkeley. He led the team in football into the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he set a record for the school bowl by catching nine times. After a few months, Gonzalez was the team's basketball coach to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. After that, he left the school to enter the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as the 13th overall pick. Gonzalez was a player with the Chiefs from 1997 to the year 2008. He was later traded to the Atlanta Falcons. In Gonzalez's second NFL year, he was able to catch at least 59 passes every season.
