Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the sports of combat. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell by the start of the round. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen in a unanimous vote. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record up to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by the first round TKO. She won her next fight against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill and then ended the fight with a the third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. As for her final fight for the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her before prevailing by TKO in the second round. She continued her dominance and scored an even impressive victory in her next bout against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger during the first round, and was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Her first fight of note came in her next fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters fought an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd in just 16 seconds which ended the streak of winning. In the third round of UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. It was a loss by majority decision.
