Her role in the series was a major hit however she was concerned that Mary Camden's image as a "good girl" would limit her abilities to act. To alter the perception of the character, she walked in the Gear cover partially clothed. The Jessica's fans were furious at the act. Her appearance in the 6th season brought her out of 7th Heaven. Her acclaimed performance in the role of a teenage Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant notoriety. In fact, this movie was awarded her the Best Supporting Actress of the Year. Summer Catch is a great illustration of her talents. In spite of her stellar performance in Rules of Attraction her film did not receive much success. People were then attracted to her performance on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre. She's an accomplished actress who has acted in many suspense films.
